A Prescription for Hope
Every child deserves the chance to thrive. We walk beside families of medically complex children with grants for the service dogs, medical equipment, supplies and therapies that insurance too often denies, so their children can live the best life they can.

When insurance becomes a roadblock, we help clear the path.
Wheelchairs, communication devices, therapies and everyday supplies are denied far more often than they should be. Here's what children gain when we help fill that gap:
Even when care is technically covered, high deductibles and repeated prior authorizations can keep it out of reach for months. We step in so families can focus on helping their child thrive.
How we help children thrive
Grants range from a few hundred dollars for supplies to support toward a $25,000–$50,000 service dog.
Service dogs
Seizure alert, diabetic alert, mobility and more. We help you find a trained match, plan your fundraising, and add a grant toward the cost.
Medical equipment
Wheelchairs, communication devices and other equipment that open up independence and everyday adventures.
Supplies & therapies
Incontinence and G-tube supplies, plus speech, occupational, physical and ABA therapy that help children reach their goals.

You don't have to figure this out alone. Here's how we walk alongside you.

It started with one girl and her dog…
Meet our Warrior Princess — and Sunshine.
Our daughter was born with Sotos syndrome and lives with epilepsy. When her doctors recommended a seizure alert and response dog, we set out to raise the $25,000 to make it happen.
Our community rallied, and she was matched with a dog she named Sunshine. Sunshine goes everywhere with her — and has already alerted more than once.
Along the way we met so many families on the same path. So we started Hope for Sunshine, to share that hope with the next family.
